I went to the Centro Iberico a few times... I was there at the Conflict concert that was recorded for a live single: I remember Pigs For Slaughter magazine people handing out leaflets bemoaning Conflict's price of entry (if I remember Riot Clone and The Apostles also played)... I also saw a night where Riot Clone and the Assassins of Hope played - to an audience of about 8... The best (which I'm sure you'll agree) was a concert by The Mob - maybe in August 82? (My memory is fairly hole-ridden now)...
wow, sounds exciting then....a few years later on we were dpoing similar things in Leeds 1984 onwards - don't think anyone ever really told those stories..in zines maybe an odd article maybe in Raising Hell or Peace of Mind
Yeah, there were a lot of good gigs there. In 'The Day the Country Died' (Ian Glaspers new book) Bob Short of Blood and Roses reckons the best gig thery ever played as at the Centro.
