Cutting peat on Slochgarrie moss

This is my current project. It may take some time. The plan is to locate by parish and map reference all the 1502 farms and crofts recorded in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright Sheriff Court Deeds 1623-1700 and then add interesting details such as the above - apossible Gaelic sliabh place name - but which [as Michael Ansell has commented] could be a Scots slock... although I can't find Slochgarrie moss on any old or new map, it was close to Slewcairn which is a sliabh place name.
