I remember reading the Ants article at a gig in the Electric Ballroom while all around people fought, sold drugs, and ranted angrily. A literary oasis in a world of human sludge.

In early 79, while still at school myself and my brothers did a zine called Defused that really featured Punk in and coming to Cumbria. Issue 4 that never came out but was all ready for the printers had a feature/live review on the Antz from some gig in London in Spring, written by my old art teacher (a huge punk fan, who seemed old and wise but must have only been 25/26) The review said 'Adam is Paris is Sex is Vogue Chic...'To a rural kid from up here it read as absolute nonsense. Now I understand, like most things a quarter of a century to late. BTW KYPP, a treasure amongst the world of xerox and staples...
